God invites each of us to a particular way of life. In his time, Francis united himself with the penitential group of brothers and sisters in Assisi, a movement that dates back to the third and fourth centuries.

These men and women voluntarily chose to embrace a life of penance. Some of these penitents were married, living with their families; others lived as hermits; while others lived in community and dedicated themselves to the work of the church. These are our roots.

Saint Francis is the patron Saint of the Environment and Animals.

We as Franciscans are a community of like minded individuals who follow our hearts and the calling to live our lives for and in the service of our planet, all God’s creatures and our fellow man.

No matter which order we belong to - we are united by our devotion to the teachings and examples set before us.

We are connected through our acts of charity, love, prayer and penance - and as such we are connected to you as well.

We show acceptance through respect, forgiveness, dialogue, trust. Are generous through hospitality, openness, tolerance. Learn through personal growth, education, prayer, mixing with others, following current affairs. We are witness to justice through relationships, governance, opportunities, prophecy. Are minors through identity with humility, love, joy.
